Crowded House - Dreamers Are Awaiting
The 80’s pop band Crowded House is back after more than a decade with a new album and a new line-up, reunited with their former producer Mitchel Froom which they worked with on their debut “Crowded House” (serving hits like “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Something So Strong”) not only behind the scenes but also on keyboard and Singer Neil Finns' sons on Bass and Drums.
"Whatever You Want", released in October 2020, "To the Island" in February 2021, and "Playing with Fire” just a month before the album release in June 2021 suggested a dreamy pop record.
And that’s what it is: an album packed with short pop songs with romantic and catchy melodies perfect for summer nights.
In contrast, “Show Me The Way” and “Too Good For This World” serve some of the melancholy the band is known for.
Even though the songs are thought through and a perfectly put together mix of indie-/alternative rock pop music and new wave unfortunately none of them has the hit potential of the classic “Crowded House”.
