The Jesus and Mary Chain sue Warner Music Group for copyright infringement

The Jesus and Mary Chain have filed a lawsuit against label Warner Music Group for copyright infringement. As Pitchfork reports, the Reid brothers state the Section 203 of the Copyright Act of 1976, which entitles the authors to gain back the rights of ownership after 35 years, the Reid brothers claim back the rights of "Psychocandy", "Darklands", the compilation "Barbed Wire Kisses", "Automatic" and "Honey’s Dead" alongside various EP's and Singles.

Their Attorney Evan S. Cohen is currently also in the process of filing a class action copyright infringement representing various artists against Sony and Universal Music Group stating the same Section of the Copyright Act.
